one question; Jim McMahon was a huge fan of drop field goals. Sort of started a movement about it.

Is the drop goal counted in NFL? Is It a legal play move the ball forward? Given that the punt kicker can move the ball forward by the distance of the kick, is the contact of the ball with the field considered grounding during a drop goal attempt?
