Dell: 'Ok, we goofed'
Mikey no commentsLast week we reported on an attempted take-down notice to The Consumerist regarding an article revolving around tips provided by a former Dell kiosk manager. The public back-lash has cast Dell in a bad light, and so yesterday they decided to publicly apologise.
"Ok, we goofed. We should't have sent a notice. To my earlier point, we appreciate the reminder from the community. Point taken."
Be it an attempted PR repair job or legitimate sorrow, it's good to see a company of Dell's stature admit it's failings on this level. Let is stand as a lesson to other companies who might want to throw their weight around without good cause.
