Adobe have announced there will be two versions of the soon to be releases Photoshop application; CS3, and CS3 Extended.

CS3 Extended is the most interesting as it will take Photoshop from being a mere bitmap editor into the realm of 3D image manipulation and rendering. According to Adobe:

"Photoshop CS3 Extended also simplifies the workflow for professionals in architecture, engineering, medical and science."

The prices between them is not known at this stage, but if we know Adobe as we do, it will be somewhere around an arm, leg or first born.
