Is Kevin Spacey an arrogant douchebag?
Mikey 7 commentsRadaronline is running a story about an incident that caused a waiter to get fired when actor Kevin Spacey refused to comply with state law by not smoking at a restaurant.
Peter Turner was asked by his boss to ask Spacey to stop smoking, which he did 3 times politely and even with a sense of humour. When spacey was asked the 3rd time to stop smoking, he told turner "You're an aggressive prick".
At one time Spacey allegedly also said "you need to get the f*ck away from my table". What a charming fellow.
Turner told his boss about the incident who said "If the owner knew you pissed off Kevin Spacey, he'd have me fire you", and 3 days later Turner was laid off.
Let me state something that a lot of other blogs seem to be missing. If Spaceys actions were true, then yes he is a douche-bag with a superiority complex not deserving of your hard earned movie-going dollars.
But - Spacey did not get the waiter fired. The other dickhead in this story is who ever decided that the actions of one arrogant Hollywood prick were justified enough to fire an innocent person. Those cowardice actions send out the wrong message: "Because you're famous, it's OK to act like a superior dickhead towards me and my staff".
If it were my restaurant, I would have asked Spacey and his posse to move on but not before asking him to apologise to my staff for being a wanker. That's because I don't believe people should get any preferential treatment just for being famous, especially when they act like spoilt little kids.
so as long as you are famous you can smoke in a restaurant and dont worry about the state law!!!
who do these people think they are?
Actors of his calibur only go to certain restaraunts where they know that they can eat there without getting hounded by journos and do whatever they want. It is more the manager being a fool in getting the waiter to tell spacey to butt out instead of doing so himself.
Nonetheless, I agree that noone DESERVES special treatment, but I am not a business owner, and if I were, I would most certainly be doing my best to make the Hollywood 'elite' think that they can do whatever they like at my place, as long as they eat there regularly and tip really, really well.

Moon was frigging awesome!!!

Sunday 10th July 2011 | 09:24 AMkevin spacey rubs me as an aarogant prick who has a god complex. i mean people may think he's gay, but i'll tell you the real reason is because no woman/person i should say can stand to be around b/c he is so full of himself and conceited and his whole thought process is essentially based around the fact that he believes he is superior to others. he gives me that vibe whenever i see him act.

The guy should sue the restaurant for wrongful termination.
