Vista Wallpaper

Two weeks on and I still get emails asking for the Vista wallpaper visible on the photo of the Viewsonic review. Firstly yes it is my own original wallpaper (loosely inspired by some of the original Vista wallpapers), and secondly I have decided to make things easier by making the wallpaper and all it's incarnations available for download.

As an added bonus I have provided my original PSD files so Photoshop users can modify to your hearts content. It's a 6mb zip file hosted on Box.net.

The file contains all versions in both JPG format and a single PSD with all, and are designed for 1680x1050 (16x10) desktop resolutions. That said, you can crop them in your preferred image editor. Previews are shown below.

My only stipulation is you don't sell or take credit for them. Feel free to distribute though.

Knock yourselves out.

Update: It seems the file host I was using RARHost has been too unreliable and appears to have completely bombed out now. I have moved the file to Box.net. Thanks to everyone who advised me of the dead link.

Thanks for the wallpapers. Simple but nice. I don't particularly like the ones that come with Vista so I am using your orange one now. Cheers.

Thanks Michael Flanakin. I have updated the link to the files. It seems RARHost have failed me again. Time to move to a new file hosting service. You can download the file http://www.box.net/public/x6477a19mj">here.

Hi Joe. I am not sure why you would have got that error. I have just tested the link and it works fine. Maybe Box.net were having some tech difficulties at that time.

Anyway try again and see what happens.

119 total kudos

Hi Mikey...Now that I have this groovy Vista wallpaper to use on my monitors-1 32" and 1 47", Ultramon to keep it all sorted out, Windows 8 wallpaper if I want to use it, and God mode for the Win7 I run now(by the way, thanks for helping me get off the XP wagon and into the 21st century) I'd still be using 3.1 if it went on the internets;-)

Now that I'm tired of God Mode, what have you got up your sleeve for the WIN7 user? And here's the $64,000. question: As I have an Nvidia graphics card, and run Dual-View, is there any way to run different screen savers on a pair of monitors?

See ya'
