VPN4Life is a scam
Mikey 5 commentsRemember that VPN service we blogged a few days ago that sounded too good to be true? Well it turns out that was the case.
VPN4Life have been happily taking peoples money but instead of receiving the promised VPN services offered, customers are being given an exe file called VPN 4 Life PC.exe, which upon further investigation by TorrentFreak is actually a piece of software already available for free with the exe renamed.
The scammers are clearly that, with a message on their site stating "No refunds will be given if you are dissatisfied with our services".
Lesson learned - if it sounds too good, it probably is. I sincerely hope none of our readers were conned.

Thursday 8th January 2009 | 02:51 PMThere were a few warning signs, for me anyway, when VPN4Life first popped up. I didn't see a scam, so much, but I questioned the ability for that mob to continue to offer a service for the low listed price.
Thankfully I didn't get involved with these criminals.
I hope my comment of "I can't see VPN4Life being around for long" in the original article gave a few readers a "heads-up", so to speak.
Sorry to say it again, but I'll stick with my SSL Usenet access.
Thanks for the update Mikey.
...in response to this comment by EricVonZipper. Anytime mate.
