Youtube now lets morons listen to themselves
Mikey 3 commentsYoutube have quietly deployed a new feature that reads your comment aloud before you post it. Going to the comment field on Youtube and you will see the new Audio Preview button, which when pressed reads your comment aloud in text-speech voice synthesis.
It doesn't take a genius to know why they added this new feature, because most Youtube comments read like they were written by the intellectual equivalent of a 13 year old attention deficit hyperactivity disorder sufferer, so letting people listen to their comment before they post it might (and I use the term 'might' very loosely) have them think twice before hitting the submit button.
The XKCD blog reckons Youtbe were inspired by this comic, and I think they might be right.

I've always wanted to hear a synth voice say 'Skaramoosh, Skaramoosh, can you do the Bandango'.
