Terminator IV gets a release date
Mikey 10 commentsAnother date to set in your calendar: May 22, 2009. 'Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins' is obviously the 4th movie for the Terminator franchise, but also the first of a new trilogy.
As much as I like big Arnie, I won't miss him. I am looking forward to seeing what my favourite actor can bring to the film. Christian Bale (American Psycho, Batman Begins, Reign of Fire, The Prestige) will play the part of an adult John Connor leading the rebellion against Skynet.
I have no expectations of T4, other than it do not suck like T3 did.

Friday 29th February 2008 | 07:51 PMGeez Jim - You and I not only have identical tastes in movies, but also actors.
Bale is sooooooo the man. If anything good comes from T4 it will his superb performance.
BTW: American Psycho - definitely on my top 10 of all time.
"I can't believe that Bryce prefers Van-Pattens' card to mine. Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark..."

:-) What about the after shave lotion with little or no alcohol because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older.

Friday 29th February 2008 | 10:44 PMI feel you about Christian Bale, he is the only reason that I would have any expectations of this movie. Let us hope he is not just a credibility purchase.

Saturday 1st March 2008 | 09:11 PMI'm definetly going to reserve judgement on T4 until i see some trailers and hear more about the story. As for Christian Bale, I can take him or leave him. About the only think I especially liked was batman begins.
Jack Gamble - Man Overboard
Monday 3rd March 2008 | 08:36 AMI can't wait. Bale is going to bring new life to this series just like he did to Batman. Can we get Cameron back on board now?
My question: Will John Coner adopt the "I'll be back" slogan as if to identify the Terminator as his father figure as mentioned by Sara in T2?
Will the Psychiatrist have a cameo as he has in every other installment in the series?

Friday 29th February 2008 | 07:00 PMChristian Bale is one of my favorite actors. American Psycho was a brilliant metaphor for the decadence of the 80's is the USA. The Machinist was phenomenal. Best Batman yet. Masterful in the Prestige. This wonderful talented actor has decided to be in what is sure to be either possibly a great film or the worst piece of garbage since Starship Troopers 2 the Hero of the Federation. Any one that has this waste time I will never get back knows what a strong statement that is. I have been reading up on this one since the news broke a few months ago. It scares me that he signed a multi picture deal for this. I hope and pray they get this right. I am going to give it 50/50 just because T3 was so bad. He just wasn't satisfied as the Dark Night, the master illusionist, my favorite homicidal maniac, a Gramiton Cleric, no he is not satisfied there he must now save the world from the machines.
