Spam ahoy: Gmail CAPTCHA cracked
Mikey 2 commentsThe CAPTCHA system on the gmail sign-up form has been cracked, which means spammers will now have another avenue to annoy the world by being able to take advantage of Google's free email service.
According to ArsTechnica, cracking the system was not easy resulting in a 20% success rate. That doesn't sound very high but consider that this is an automated process which can manage tens of hundreds of attempts simultaneously.
