Vista successor due for late 2009
Mikey 5 commentsAs you may or may not recall back in November 2006 when Microsoft released Vista they were already pimping its successor, Windows 7, not long after.
New information has just been revealed which indicates Windows 7 - code named "Vienna" - will be due for release late 2009. This isn't an upgrade to Vista, but rather an entirely new OS.
It's very strange because if past time lines are anything to go by, Vista will have just reached maturity and stability.
Engadget has the full details.

Wednesday 23rd January 2008 | 12:32 AMI wonder if they considered that there will still be people using XP then. Maybe the plan is to phase it out like win 98.
