Stupidity filter in the pipeline
Mikey no commentsAmerican scientists are developing an open source 'stupid filter' designed to filter our rampant stupidity web content.
The technology is similar to the way spam filters work, by examining words and looking for known spam characterisations. The 'stupid filter' is slightly more advanced in that it needs to also recognise that some written comments on web sites might have been deliberately misspelled. For example: "that is soooooo cool!", doesn't warrant filtering.
When using the filter we can probably expect about 99.5% of Youtube comments filtered.
